Australian lawyer quits to get Baked in Amsterdam

First broadcast October 21 on RN’s Blueprint For Living.

I think everyone dreams of quitting their job and starting a new life far away; well Peter Ong, former lawyer and founder of Baked in Amsterdam, did exactly that. It was a lot of fun to catch up with him in Amsterdam to find out more about his story and try famous banana bread. Hope you enjoy the story (and if you’re ever in Amsterdam) and his baking.

When late nights hunched over microwave dinners became too much for Melbourne corporate lawyer Peter Ong, he quit his job to have his ‘eat, pray, love’ moment in Paris.

So how did he go from learning French to owning a baking business in Amsterdam?

Matilda Marozzi visits Peter in the Netherlands to find out.
